Week in Review (6)

Posted on 26 April 2009

Things here in Thailand have certainly quietened down this week, the state of emergency has been lifted in Bangkok and the Songkarn holiday is finally over. Both these events should have left everyone feeling happy, but I can’t help wondering how many families here are far from happy as they mourn the loss of a loved one after the usual carnage on the Thai roads over the holiday period. There were well over 300 dead the last time I checked.

My Thai Friend has been concentrating on delivering some up to date tourist information and revisiting some expat issues through the Expat Thailand column. Plus of course the weekly Thai garden feature.
