Khao Sarn Road Cop Box (AKA: Chanasongkram Police Station) seems to have a fetish for trying to bust pot-smoking backpackers but not the hundreds of scammers operating in their vicinity. Let me take the chance today to write a blog of a more serious nature. One of the biggest stories of the week to have surfed on the Internet via The Times of the UK is the story of a British couple who apparently ended up paying 8,000 pounds in bribes to the cops to secure their release.

Remembering my dad - Charles (Chuck) Henry Harden - 1928 to 1984As the years pass, it sometimes gets hard to visualize my dad without looking at a picture. Thought if I put something together for Youtube and something happened to the few pictures I have he would always be out there - somewhere. The pictures start in 1946 with him winning a race in high school and going to about 1984 when I lost him. Originally a Johnson from Johnson City, Tenessee he moved with his mom to San Francisco. He spent 22 years in the Air Force and was stationed in Korat, Thailand during Vietnam. 26 years and the loss still hurts. Miss you Dad.
