Just over a week ago I ventured out to watch a muay Thai fight. One of the guys, Phillip who trains are Legacy Gym here in Ubon Ratchathani, owned by Ole “Iron Fist” Laursen was having a fight. This is Ajarn Kong one of the trainers at Legacy.

The other day I blogged on the local Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) gym here in Ubon Ratchathani Thailand called Legacy Gym . I had mentioned that there were 4 fighters travelling to Singapore and fighting in the Martial Combat Fighting Championship 7 and 8. There were two fighters fighting on the 18th of August, being Alex Niu, who is a Chinese fighter and trained for about a month at Legacy Gym and Nick “Hooligan” Mellor a Legacy Gym resident.

If you don't know where Bang Tao beach is, the beach is located north of Surin beach, right behind this beach stands Laguna Phuket which has numerous 5 star resorts inside. One of my all time favorite swim routes is located right here at Bang Tao, there is an entry point down on the south end and my exit point is about center beach; whole swim is about 2 kilometers and I try to come up here from my home in Kata beach to do this excellent swim.

Nai Yang beach is a pretty large beach and the open bay to the ocean is always a beautiful setting. I like to come up to Nai Yang about once a week to enjoy these water activities and of course see the beautiful surroundings. If you have always wanted to kite board or wind surf there are 3 -4 good shops that will teach you this sport, most shops offer around the same price for their lessons so you just have to take your pick, if you are traveling in a group, they offer some pretty good group prices

Ship of terrorists and human smugglers arrived off the shores of British Columbia, Canada. Earlier reports have said that the Navy boarded the Sun Sea cargo ship, but seems not yet.
