United States Martial Arts Festival 2010 Japanese Commercial
Martial arts masters from many countries such as Japan, Korea, USA, China, Israel and Thailand are strongly showing their support for this event by voluntarily performing their country's martial arts for the added benefits of peace, unity and brotherhood. Los Angeles, CA June 19, 2010 -- The highly anticipated and inaugural United States Martial Arts Festival™ 2010 will be held July 18, 2010 at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center located in the City of Redondo Beach of Los Angeles. With plenty of free parking, the doors will open at 2:00 pm, and the various presentations and martial arts demonstrations will run from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. The event will be locally televised by United Television Broadcasting (UTB) Hollywood and covered by various radio stations, magazines and newspapers to promote and celebrate the festival in the Los Angeles area.
I think you would have to live under a rock and not have a computer or access to a TV or newspaper if you didn’t know about the current oil spill taking place in the Gulf of Mexico after The Deepwater Horizon platform exploded and then sank two days later on April 22nd. This happened 24klms of the Louisiana’s coast and sadly killed 11 workers. It is a terrible tragedy and now an environmental disaster looks imminent
The tension is rising in Thailand as we have now started the countdown to Judgement Day on Friday 26th February 2010. The red shirts have already started their protests though so far the yellow shirts have decided to stay at home. If that is true then any riots on the streets of Bangkok next week should be limited with, hopefully, minimal casualties

Fourteen year ago I crossed the border from Thailand into Lao for the first time and visited the Plain of Jars, then one of the remotest places on earth. Over the next few years I was to cross the Thai/Lao border a further six times, these visits finished 11 years ago. The Thai government is trying to scare the Thai people into believing the current H1N1 virus could be the death of so many people. They continue to release idiotic statements through the media and it seems that people high up in the government are probably the main culprits. Deputy Prime Minister Sanan Kajornprasart said on Monday, “The government plans to buy 10 million face masks and distribute them to people to help curb the H1N1 flu outbreak.” I have said before and this is directly from the World Health Organization’s website
The Nation : Moody’s Investors Service has been fast to pick on Thailand. Earlier, it pointed out that the Thai economic downturn is going to be one of the worst in the region. Then it downgraded the credit outlook of Thailand from positive to negative
