I am really missing the two girls of my life, it is so quite in the house and I thought sitting around for 5 or so days by myself, being able to watch the football (Rugby League, Australian Rules, Premier League, F.A Cup and The Masters Golf) would be great, but it isn’t. It’s only been a day and a half. I do miss Noot, but my niece Nong Ja who usually has me going here, there and everywhere also away with Noot makes the silence eerie.

Last Sunday was Valentines Day; I had a very nice offer to attend a party that would have had very pretty promotional girls and silly games taking place. A local company were going to have fun with condoms and then head to the local park to hand them out to the locals. Apparently many young Thai girls lose their virginity on Valentines Day and also many get pregnant.

If you are a reader of this blog, you will know of my Thai niece Nong Ja . She usually stays with us on a fulltime basis, but at the moment she is staying with Miss Noot’s mum from Sunday to Friday. We venture out each Friday and pick her up and she stays with us for the weekend. When Miss Noot finishes university later this year Nong Ja will be staying with us on a permanent nature again, but until then she is going to be shuffled back and forth.

If you read this blog, I am sorry. Just joking as it is your own fault for punishing yourself. If you are a reader you know who this is, my niece Nong Ja. We have been blessed to be part of raising her, we had her for nearly three months straight, in that time she maybe spent a week where she didn’t sleep at our place

After the girls had finishing eating there fill , we were on our way past the guys who play Sepak Takraw which is virtually volleyball but only using your feet. When you watch these guys play, the co-ordination and skill shown is very impressive. This guy is spiking the ball; it looks like he is doing a one handed handstand. We had made our way around to see these guys, the hungry marauding fish

As I have reported before, we often look after our niece, Nong Ja and take her to our local park not far from our house. Near the entrance we use there is a myriad (okay a handful) of food carts attracting attention of people visiting the park. Of course Miss Noot, Benjawan and Nong Ja were in attendance to buy some goodies. It seems only like yesterday, that Nong Ja could only crawl, but now she flies around on her feet, sometimes a little too fleet footed which usually ends up in a case of speed wobbles

Miss Noot decided to do some cooking the other day with some ingredients she had bought back from Khun Da’s (her grandfather) village. She had some freshly picked mushrooms they had collected on their mountain trek. These mushrooms are placed in a large pot and boiled for a little while and then the very important ingredient is added; rotten fish sauce.

The other week Miss Noot, Benjawan and two of Ben’s friends, Wat and Boo went to visit their grandfather out in the village. Miss Noot took along my old point and shoot camera, the Samsung Digimax 430. Miss Noot ventured to Sang Chan Waterfall; it is only a few kilometres form her grandfather’s house

These are my three girls at the park; they are doing what a lot of Thai girls like to do, that being eating. Nong Ja was eating a rare treat, a disgusting processed hotdog, but she was loving it. Nong Ja gets to have a hotdog every now and then, I am not a fan of processed meats for kids. She does enjoy them surprisingly

I haven’t had a lot to blog about of late. I have been busy working, teaching extra classes on weekends takes up most of my Saturday and Sunday mornings are free to relax and sleep in and in the afternoon a few more classes. I have been studying Thai around 2 hours each day; it is enjoying, but also very frustrating at times as well
