Ta Klang Elephant Village in Surin

Surin Province, in Northeast Thailand, is probably most famous for the annual Surin Elephant Roundup that takes place in November. This year it is over the weekend of 19-20 November 2011. What I didn’t know before is that Surin is also home to the Elephant Study Center so that you can learn about the elephants year round. This elephant center can be found at Ta Klang Village in Tha Toom District, about 58 kilometers north of Surin.They even have homestays programmes for foreign tourists.

www.phuketdining.com http patongdining.com http Center Beach Rawai Phuket Thailand 2010 Rawai Beach Phuket is located on the eastern side of Phuket Island, the eastern shore beaches are not the best to swim in, I often, about once a week head down to Chalong pier and swim the length of the beach, the water is very clean and I would recommend it to any beach goers. One of the most beautiful sites on Phuket is the Thai fishing boats, when you arrive to Rawai, you will be amazed at all the beautiful fishing boats anchored in the water, during sunrise the view could not be more pristine, be sure to bring your camera, you will get some excellent Rawai bay shots with the surrounding islands in the background, I believe if you kept at it enough you could probably get some good post card material camera shots here, it really is that beautiful. You will find a great variety of seaside restaurants along Rawai, one of the best is located on the North end of the beach; Nikitas which has been around a long time and the setting is the best in Rawai. So during your time in Phuket, take a ride down to Rawai, explore the many different restaurants, walk along the Chalong pier, you will truly enjoy this area of Phuket.Thank you so much for stopping by and check back often for more of my Phuket videos.

www.phuketdining.com http patongdining.com http North Kamala Beach Phuket Thailand 2010 Kamala Beach Phuket one of Phukets pristine beaches, Kamala beach is located just south of Surin Beach. One thing about the northern beaches, they generally don't get the high concentration of tourists as do the southern Phuket beach line does. Kamala beach is also another place I like to do distance swims, my main entry point is on the southern end of the beach and from there I head north to my exit point. Kamala beach reminds me very much on what most of Phuket was like over 25 years ago, its relatively undeveloped, you can rent a bungalow near the beach cheap, plenty of small seaside restaurants to choose from and of course you don't really have the crowds, no matter what season it is.
