Hat Ya Nui is a small private and remote beach in the southwest corner of Phuket island in Thailand. Access cost 250 Baht , but for this amount you get an umbrella , sunlounges or beach mattress and a free drink. The tricky part about this unique beautiful corner is that access is through a difficult steep dirt track and is quite dangerous to drive a bike down that road.

Norwegian robbed, bloodied by Thai jet ski vendors

Norheim said he was approached by 29-year-old Srisawai Multrisa while walking along the beach and took her up on an offer to rent a jet ski for 30 minutes for 800 baht. Srisawai then persuaded him to leave his bag, containing his passport and about 9600 baht in Norwegian kroners, with her as it might get wet. The Norwegian said he then set out on the jet ski but questioned his decision to leave his bag onshore after about 10 minutes. When he returned and asked for it back, but got into an argument with the Thai woman, which resulted in him pushing her out of a boat.
