Thailand Princess Maja von Hohenzollern protests against cruel dog meat trade

Princess Maja von Hohenzollern visited again Chiang Mai /Thailand and sponsored a sterilisation campagne for stray dogs. She brought her veterinarys from Spain over to Chiang Mai to care for the dogs.Every one could bring his dog to the "Care for dogs" Shelter, for free nutrition. Nutrition is the only human and effctiv way to reduce the population of stray dogs. Killing is not a solution

On Saturday, Thai people all over the country were invited to take part in Buddhist chanting called “Phra Paritr”. This was done as a tribute to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his 84th birthday anniversary this year. The Phra Paritr religious ceremony took place simultaneously in both Bangkok and the provinces on Saturday, 25 June, starting at exactly 3:29 p.m. Phra Paritr ceremonies date back to ancient times and are performed to bring good health and ensure protection from all forms of ailment and evil.

Thai teen received S$250k donation from Red Cross - 15Jun2011

SINGAPORE - As she celebrates her 15th birthday today, Thai teenager Peneakchanasak Nitcharee would be delighted to know that she will be receiving a generous donation from the Singapore Red Cross. The charity organisation released a statement today announcing that it would be donating $250000 to Nitcharee - better known as Nong Tan - for her medical rehabilitation expenses. The money was donated by a group of anonymous Singaporean donors.

Joo Ji Hoon arrested on drug charges

Popular South Korean model and actor Ju Ji Hoon, 26, has been arrested on drug charges! Joo, best known for portraying Crown Prince Lee Shin in the Korean drama Princess Hours (Goong), and movie “The Naked Kitchen”, is charged with two counts of taking drugs in March 2008 at drug parties with fellow entertainers. Arrest warrants for actress Yoon Sul Hui, 28, and model Yeh Hak Young, 26, have also been issued. The two are accused of smuggling drugs from Japan since August 2007.
