I think one of the first phrases I learned when I arrived in Thailand was “gin khao reu yung?” This is a phrase that asks if you have eaten yet but is really more of a greeting than an inquiry. They are not really interested in when you had your last meal.

The Legendary Edith Clampton (Mrs)

On reading the title, most of you are probably wondering “Who the heck is she?” Well, she was one of Thailand’s most well-known farang names during the early to mid 1990’s; a name that was highly controversial, but in the stupidest way possible (She even has her very own Wikipedia entry). So, who was Edith Clampton (Mrs)? She was simply a regular ‘letters to the editor’ (Post Bag) writer at the Bangkok Post.

Spago Authentic Italian Pizza and Pasta, Ubon Ratchathani Thailand.

I have been saying that I was going to make it to this restaurant for a while, and I finally did. Spago is an authentic Italian pizza and pasta restaurant. The owner is an expat named Franco, I meet him a little while ago and was told about his Italian restaurant he was opening.

Peppers Bakery and Cafe Pizza, Ubon Ratchathani Thailand.

Tonight we felt like something different for dinner so we ventured off to Peppers Bakery & Café , here in sleepy Ubon Ratchathani. The business was opened by an Aussie and a Kiwi (now isn’t that a mix and a half there) with of course their Thai wives. Peppers is the purple marker. A Pizza Party for Thai Students, Isaan Thailand.

Today at school we had a very important ceremony to start the day. The students were made to stand out on the wet football court and then partake in this exciting ceremony. Some students were being issued with certificates.
