Well dinner time tonight in Thailand was this, a good homemade spread made by Miss Noot. There was papaya salad Thai style with smelly fermented fish sauce and plenty of chilli and then there was papaya salad Thai or known as “Dum Thai” that is made with commercial made fish sauce. Some sundried beef from the market fried in olive oil, omelette, spicy pork roll salad, and some Thai sausages

Well the week has gone by too quickly. It has been a boring week, mainly involving getting up and going to bed. This is good though I suppose, better than pushing daises.

Yesterday in the afternoon a storm passed through our area, lightning struck and thunder boomed and of course it rained, sideways at times. It was heavy rain for maybe 20 minutes and then drizzled for another few hours after that. The drizzly rain didn’t look like it was going to stop, so me being the brave one asked what everyone wanted to eat.

This is continuing with the story of the parents that took their daughter to visit her grandmother. Arriving at the front door, they are greeted by their niece. As she is a lot younger than them, notice how much more respect she is showing to the two adults

Last night Miss Noot and I, ventured off for dinner by ourselves. We dropped Nong Ja our niece off to her father for a few hours and we went out for a quiet and relaxing meal without any interruptions. We went to a beautiful little restaurant called Krung Tep, I didn’t take any pictures as I didn’t take my camera.
I was sitting at home a little earlier this evening working on the computer and then glanced at the clock, it was just before 7pm and I needed to go to the supermarket and buy a few things. As soon as I had the keys to my motorbike in my hand my niece Nong Ja was onto me and wanting to come along. So we jumped on the bike and 500mtrs later we are in Big C, we had just walked into the supermarket and grabbed a basket when what sounded like thousands of rocks being thrown onto the roof. It was of course rain, and it was absolutely pissing down

The other week I wrote about our rabbit having babies . How time flies as that was two weeks ago already. The rabbits grow really fast and in a week they already have plenty of fur and you can see traces of their colours. My amazing niece Nong Ja, she loves them.
I haven’t updated for a while, one I have been busy. We have final exams this coming week and it has meant revision sheets for the students. A week of revision for 130 students meant a lot of marking.

There is a new company just started up here in sleepy Isaan country. STA Services is a property management, tour booking, motorcycle, car hire booking, and accommodation company. It is easier to say that they pretty well cover it all. STA Services has been started up by a few expats and their Thai better halves.

If you read this blog, I am sorry. Just joking as it is your own fault for punishing yourself. If you are a reader you know who this is, my niece Nong Ja. We have been blessed to be part of raising her, we had her for nearly three months straight, in that time she maybe spent a week where she didn’t sleep at our place

As I have reported before, we often look after our niece, Nong Ja and take her to our local park not far from our house. Near the entrance we use there is a myriad (okay a handful) of food carts attracting attention of people visiting the park. Of course Miss Noot, Benjawan and Nong Ja were in attendance to buy some goodies. It seems only like yesterday, that Nong Ja could only crawl, but now she flies around on her feet, sometimes a little too fleet footed which usually ends up in a case of speed wobbles

Last night we ventured out to the village to Miss Noot’s mum’s house, to pick up our niece Nong Ja. She will be staying with us for the next 3 nights.
