It can be found at Doi Tung Royal Villa which was the home of the late HRH Princess Mother whenever she visited Chiang Rai. The King’s mother lived in Switzerland while her children were completing their education.

It was early so the sun was low and roasting us, we saw on the map a viewpoint in the middle of the island,there is a marked trail leading there. We found a sign that had been painted, it wasn't a well marked route but you could tell where the plants were crushed that it was the way.

In Phuket at the Big Buddha It is still under construction as you can see from all the bamboo sticks supporting all the shoe-less, helmet-less Burmese contraction workers. The view from the top of this mountain was SPECTACULAR! The baby blue skies and the bright blue ocean mixed with the careless flow of the clouds made the surrounding view of Phuket on Big Buddha mountain that much more mesmerizing! Walking up the steps of the mountains, you will see golden bells ranging from tiny to large, each with it's own harmonious sound.

Miss Noot decided to do some cooking the other day with some ingredients she had bought back from Khun Da’s (her grandfather) village. She had some freshly picked mushrooms they had collected on their mountain trek. These mushrooms are placed in a large pot and boiled for a little while and then the very important ingredient is added; rotten fish sauce.
