Pai, a little town up north in the middle of farmlands has been growing in popularity with both Farangs and Thais. I’ve been there and back. Most people there are mountain folks who had stayed on inherited or illegal lands for generations.
When you have a camera wrapped around your neck at a Thai school, you will often be asked by mothers, ‘take our picture, please.’ Thai women, so many mothers arrive at our school looking like they have just spent over an hour getting ready to just drop their kids off. The funny thing was originally there were only 4 mums until two more were badgered into joining.
