I returned home and found Noot’s mother was visiting and was outside euthanizing some frogs by whacking them on the head a few times and then skinning them and ripping their guts out. I missed these pictures sadly as I was a little slow changing. But this is what is left after skinned and washed, delicious Isaan frogs. I am not sure what these mushrooms are called, in Thai they are “เห็ดละโหว Het Lanaw” and are a very sweet and delicious mushroom

My mate over at Life in Rural Thailand has written about it before, having seen the bucket truck many times and also has a short video of a dog truck in Laos.
