I blogged about the Miss Noppamas Queen Title I attended the other night at the local university. Miss Benjawan, who I call my daughter, Miss Noot’s younger sister (she’s 18) went to another Noppamas title being held at a local government department. This one proved to be much more entertaining as there was a special title being held for who are known as Thailand’s third sex, they being ladyboys or katoeys

Another chapter in the life of Panrit “Gor” Daoruang” has come to an end with his release from prison after serving his full three years for dug possession. Gor shot to international fame during his teenage years for his stories about life growing up in Thailand. He is regarded as Thailand first blogger as he started writing about his life when he was only 12 years old.

Way back on the 11th of August we celebrated Mother’s Day at our school one day earlier than the real day as it is a holiday on the 12th. I posted two other articles on the lead up to the ceremony here or the Buddhist merit making in the morning with monks here , if you would like to read them first. Anyway the time had finally come for the ceremony for the mums to start, well nearly time.

I have written about my beautiful little niece Nong Ja on many occasions. Recently I blogged about how Joom and Jack her parents had decided to take her to Bangkok and Jack’s parents would look after her for 2 or 3 months. I wasn’t happy with this idea and decision but she isn’t my daughter. So the day came and Ja and Joom flew to Bangkok.

I haven’t written for a while, I have been busy every afternoon with my lovely little niece Nong Ja. I have had the privilege of looking after her each afternoon. When I arrive home Nong Ja has been sitting in the house with her mum waiting for me to get home. Tomorrow being Friday Ja is off to Bangkok for 3 or 4 months to live with her dad’s parents

I haven’t had a lot to blog about of late. I have been busy working, teaching extra classes on weekends takes up most of my Saturday and Sunday mornings are free to relax and sleep in and in the afternoon a few more classes. I have been studying Thai around 2 hours each day; it is enjoying, but also very frustrating at times as well
