My Mates Right of Reply.

My mate has dropped by and offered his thoughts on my little blog between our two teams being Collingwood and West Coast in the Australian Football league. His comments are in green and following are my replies. Boy you must have been having kittens during that game mate! I don’t have cats, I hate cats so no idea what he is on about! You got a real good scare and if it wasn’t for missing two sitters with 10 minutes to go we would have upset The Pies! The funny thing is Collingwood also missed many opportunities during the game and it a the team of champions that can stand the pressure in the big games and pull through, some are just not made for that.

Jetstar, Bad Customer Service and Funny Stories.

I was just over at my mate’s blog and he wrote about absolute shit customer service he received from Jetstar. You can read his problem here and see just how pathetic the so called customer service was. Jetstar is Qantas airline’s cheap love child, cheap flights with no frills and it sounds like also plenty of employees with no brains as well. Home Alone in Isaan Thailand.

I am home alone as my three girls have all gone to the village for a night. But that is good for me as I will be up late watching the horse racing and waiting for ex Australian champion So You Think run in the Irish Champion Group 1 over 2000mtrs at 12.15am Thai time. Nong Ja loves her Power Rangers outfit, she loves it so much I had to buy another as she doesn’t want to wear anything else. I do miss all her interruptions that usually occur

Good Food Isaan Thailand.

Well now that we have Nong Ja in what I call daycare but Thais call kindergarten. Thais have three levels of kindergarten but I consider three year olds to be in daycare.

This is how fines should be for idiots behind the wheel of a car. A well known person for all the wrong reasons in Australia is facing up to four months in jail after allegedly being caught driving while suspended.

Kebabs T.C Kitchen Ubon Ratchathani Thailand

The other night I ventured to T.C Kitchen, this is the new restaurant / bar of the old owner of Njoy here in Ubon Ratchathani. I usually get over to T.C Kitchen every Saturday night to catch up with a few expat locals, a few cold beers and a couple of kebabs. Lance does an excellent kebab. Every Saturday night starting around 8pm, usually a little earlier you can indulge in a very good kebab.

Dinner Time in Isaan Thailand

It has been a hard day again in Isaan Thailand. I was absolutely buggered early on this afternoon and had a two and a half hour kip. I have a heap of stuff to do and will be up until who knows what time, I will be lucky if I hit the sack before the sun comes up. I was awoken for dinner and it was good to.

Sunday Lunch Thai Style, Ubon Ratchathani Thailand.

One of the big bonuses of living in Isaan Thailand is the cheap food on offer. There are so many small restaurants that offer all sorts of food to nearly suit anyone’s culinary tastes. Nearly every Sunday at lunchtime we try and head out to eat. Sometimes we head to one of the many nice restaurants we have here in Ubon, also the chain restaurants like Fuji or MK get thrown in here and there

Dog Nappers Caught in Thailand, Why is this Big News?

My mate over at Life in Rural Thailand has written about it before, having seen the bucket truck many times and also has a short video of a dog truck in Laos. Lenten Candle Festival Ubon Ratchathani Thailand 2011

Here in Ubon Ratchathani we have the Lenten Candle Festival about to start. Each year at the start of the Buddhist Lent we have the largest parade of candle floats made by temples right down to small villages. It is Ubon’s busiest time of the year and the foreign population skyrockets and you can play spot the Thai instead of foreigner, okay there aren’t that many but there is a large influx of tourists. Below are pictures of my local temple’s candle float, the temple is about 400mtrs from my house.

The other day I wrote about people that steal content and then post it on their websites as if it was their own. So I checked some other websites and was surprised at how many of them are the victims of content theft.
