www.phuketdining.com http patongdining.com http Quiet Day Nai Thon Beach Phuket Thailand Beautiful Nai Thon beach is one of Phukets northern most beaches, if I had to pick a sleepy quite beach Nai Thon beach would be my choice, I have been up to Nai Thon on several occasions and the beach is never crowded, in fact the beach is so peaceful you hardly run into any tourists. The major resort at this beach is the Naithonburi Beach Resort; even with this resort you don't get that much traffic. Nai ThonBeach is very close to the airport about 10 -15 minutes, the road leading into the beach is in good shape, if you want major nightlife, you wont find it here, Patong beach the major nightlife hub is about a 45 minute drive from this location

Juvenile Red Tailed Racer - a Thailand Rat Snake, Non-VenomousThese are beautiful snakes, and I caught one on the way to the forest to go snake hunting! How cool is that? It was crossing the road in my path on the motorbike and I swerved to miss it just in time. I turned around and was able to stop it and grab it before it disappeared into the brush alongside the Thai highway. These snakes are really beautiful. You can see the blue tongue, and maybe the green eyes. This one bit me on the top of the hand when I first held her. I had already identified her as a rat snake, but she looks VERY much like the green vipers in Thailand. Her head is elongated. Sorry about the focus - I've made a note to set the fstop at 4.0 or 5.6 on the camera before shooting. Here it was f1.8.
