Places to visit in Thailand 12 - Rose Gardens, Nakhon Pathom
Posted on 17 April 2009
Now, a great trip out with the WAGS (for those who aren’t l’anglais, thats wives and girlfriends)…..
The Rose Garden Riverside, Nakhon Pathom Province, an excellent example of modern Thai landscape design, architecture and style.
The 70-acre botanical park is located on the Ta Chine River, just North West of Bangkok and is an excellent destination for tourists, who are able to walk the grounds and stay in accommodation at the gardens.
Although we didn’t stay we would have liked to; there are many different forms of entertainment in the evening centred around Thai culture, musicals, martial arts and craft ‘practicals’, as well as relaxation, massage and ’spa,’ which ladies adore. Men can ‘pub’ in the meantime, although ‘pub’ facilities were lacking, from what I could see…..
The Thai antique houses on the grounds are pretty stunning, entirely made of teak, beautifully restored to their original glory, plus, the riverside views and lush gardens will keep you cool as you walk around the many promenades.
